Forever my blog!

I love my new blog!

I know I don’t come to my blog in quite a while… That doesn’t mean iIm bored about it, I was in France! Well, i will tell you more about it in my next post.

This blog did give me many new friends, good friends, but it has also changed my life. Now I can understand other people better, and I’ve learned a lot of new English, after writing so much!

Having a personal blog is much better than having to share your blog with 60 other people! Now I have the freedom of giving my blog its own personal touch. I can finaly shape it the way I want it and write as much as I want!

It is good to know that what we are writing is not for ourselves, its for all the world to read and comment! And that means a lot to me, because I am a little bit shy, and like that I don’t have to speak, so its easier for me to share ideas and thoughts.

I also think that, by having a personal blog, its easier for other people to contact me and write comments.

I did’nt write this post to get the subscription, I did it because I want to finish the challenge.

Earth Hour

This year, me and my family will participate in the Earth Hour. We will do that by turning off all the lights and electronic devices and we will have a dinner with nothing but candle light! I wouldn’t mind doing that every day!

We must all help the planet, it’s for our own good. It may not seem much but, believe it or not, it will help. At least tell some of your friends, because the more the better! Just see it like this: if we all do this, we will be a completely “off” planet for an hour! Imagine a world with no light!

But just by doing that, our problems won’t all just disappear; we must help by doing other things! I’ll give some examples:

• Recycle everyday;
• Save water;
• Use less sprays or stop using them;
• Produce less amounts of garbage;
• Etc…

So don’t forget, join Earth Hour and join the World!

This is me!

My name is Claudia, I was born on October twentieth and one of the things I like to do more is blogging! I have got brown, long and very curly hair, with some waves and my eyes are brown too. I am in the sixth grade and some of my favourite subjects are Arts and Portuguese. My favourite colour is light blue, like a mix of baby blue and ocean blue. Other colours that I really like are light purple and light orange. I like light colours!

My best friend, or has I call her, my MAPS (melhor amiga para sempre), that in English means Best Friend Forever, is Filipa. She is a blogger too, and she has got her own blog, just like me. Her name inside Edublogs is FilipaC6c.

I usually wear light clothes (white, light brown, light blue, pink), because, as I already said, are the colours I prefer. My favourite activities are blogging, playing acoustic guitar, beeing in the computer (games and talking to my friends), talking to my friends in person and playing various games. I am Portuguese, but I can speak English too.

I dont know what else I can say about myself, only that I won the Portuguese stubc08, last year and that I am not going to write the avatar challenge again, because I have one from last year , but I will do everything else!

Studying… Boring or fun?

First of all, to study you need to have concentration and space (like in your room). I have tips for both auditive (you hear a voice in your head when studying) and visuals (you see what you’ve studied in your head):

• Auditives:
  

Read what you need to know, one time. Then try to say it without looking; if you cant read again. Try to say it again. If you cant keep doing this over and over again until you’ve memorized everything. It looks boring but it can be fun, see it like a game!

• Visuals:
  

Read what you need to know, one time. Make like a “mini-test” with questions that you think that can be on the test. Go to a quiet place and make the test ,quietly while you cronometrate the time. When you finish the test see how long you took to do it and see the answers in the book. If it is bad do it again. Has I said before, it looks boring, but if you make it a game it will be fun!

A minha turma

Esta semana (de 9 a 13 de Fevereiro), como podes já saber, é a semana dos actos amáveis. Hoje (sexta feira 13) não é sobre terror e medo. É sobre generosidade com os teus colegas! E é por isso que eu vou escrever algumas coisas simpáticas sobre eles:

Adoro a minha turma e não trocaria de turmas por nada neste mundo. Pronto, talvez por uma coisa… A minha melhor amiga, Filipa, está numa turma diferente, o que é muito mau para a nossa amizade, mas conseguimos viver com isso!

A minha turma é a melhor (para mim), e muitos professores dizem o mesmo que eu. Aqui estão algumas razões porque eu gosto tanto desta turma:

• Quase todos são simpáticos;
  
• Tenho muitos amigos nesta turma e somos todos muito unidos;
  
• Somos a turma mais esperta (com melhores resultados) e eu acho isso muito importante;
  
• Arranjamos sempre maneiras de tornar as aulas divertidas e, ao mesmo tempo aprendermos;
  
• Os nosso professores são ambos bons e simpáticos.
  

Claro, poderia dizer muito mais, mas estaria a escrever o resto do dia! Agora é a tua vez de escreveres algo simpático sobre a tua turma!

My class

This week (from 9th to 13th  February), as you may know, it’s the week of kindness. Today (friday, the thirteenth) is not about terror and fright. It’s about kindness to your colleagues! And that’s why i am going to write something nice about them:

I love my class and I would’nt change classes for anything in this world. Ok, maybe for one thing… My best friend, Filipa is in a different class, wich is very bad for our friendship, but we can live with that!

My class is the best class (for me), and lots of teachers say the same as I do. Here are some reasons that i like this class so much:

• Almost everyone is nice;
  
• I have a lot of friends in this class and we’re all very united;
  
• We are the smartest class (we have better results) and I think that’s important;
  
• We allways find a way of having fun in classes and still learn;
  
• Our teachers are both good and kind.

Of course, I could say much more, but then I would be writing all day! Now its your turn to write something kind about your class!

A minha professora favorita: “Inpi”

A minha professora favorita é a Inês, também conhecida por “Inpi”. Ela é a minha profª de Português. Gosto dela por muitas razões:

1. Ela é muito simpática para todos os alunos (a maioria das vezes);
   
2. Uma vez por semana, ela conta-nos um pouco do livro do “Hobbit”, e nenhum outro professor faz algo sequer parecido;
   
3. Foi ela que teve a ideia de criar o blog de turma e foi ela que nos apresentou a competição stubc08;
   
4. Nós partilhamos alguns interesses, o que eu acho muito bom;
   
5. Há muitas outras coisas, mas não me consigo lembrar delas, neste momento… Se me lembrar acrescento-as a este post.

E vou deixar agora algumas perguntas que gostava que fossem respondidas:

• Tens algum(a) professor(a) favorito(a)? Quem?
  
• Descreve-o(a) em duas palavras.
  
• Ele/Ela já alguma vez fez algo que tivesses gostado muito?
  
• Diz alguma outra coisa agradável sobre esse/essa professor(a).

My favourite teacher: “Inpi”

My favourite teacher is Inês, also known has “Inpi”. She’s my Portuguese teacher.  I like her for lots of reasons:

1. She is very kind to all of her students (most of the time);
2. Once a week, she tells us a part of the “Hobbit” book, and no other teacher does anything similar;
   
3. She is the one that had the idea of creating a class blog and told us about the stubc08 competition;
   
4. We share some interests, wich i think its very good;
   
5. There are lots of other things, but i cant remember what right now… If i remember i’ll add it here, in this post.

And now i will leave some questions that i wish that were answered:

• Have you got a favourite teacher? Who?
  
• Describe him/her in two words.
  
• Did he/she ever do something that you really liked?
  
• Say something else nice about that teacher.

O que eu penso de um(a) amigo(a)

Eu tenho apenas uma melhor amiga, a minha MELHOR AMIGA PARA SEMPRE! Ela chama-se Filipa e é generosa, esperta, boa ouvinte, boa faladora e muito mais, mas estas são as características que, em minha opinião, a descrevem melhor e são também as que eu mais gosto.

Ela é tudo o que se pode querer num amigo

• Gosto que os meus amigos sejam generosos podem partilhar, que é uma qualidade muito importante.
  
• Gosto que os meus amigos sejam espertos para que possamos falar normalmente e nos percebermos mutuamente.
• Gosto que os meus amigos sejam bons ouvintes para que me possam ajudar se alguma vez tiver um problema que necessite de ajuda.
  
• Gosto que os meus amigos sejam bons faladores para eu os poder ajudar quando tiverem algum problema e também para podermos falar (ou escrever), que é uma das coisas que eu mais gosto de fazer com os meus amigos.
  
• Outras coisas que eu gosto de fazer com os meus amigos são: jogar diversos jogos – escondidas e apanhadas, por exemplo – e principalmente nos divertirmos á nossa maneira!

Eu acho que sou boa amiga porque sou divertida, simpática, boa ouvinte e, mais importante: ajudo os meus amigos quando estão feridos ou em baixo.

What I Think of a Friend

I have got one best friend only, my BEST FRIEND FOREVER! Her name is Filipa and she is generous, smart, good listener, good talker and much more, but this is what I think that describes her better and the qualities that I like more about her.

She is everything I want in a friend!

• I like my friends to be generous, because they can share, and that is a very important quality.
• I like my friends to be smart, so we can talk and we can both understand each other.
• I like my friends to be good listeners, so they can hear me if I have any problem that needs help.
• I like my friends to be good talkers, so I can help them when they have any problem and also so we can talk (or write) – that’s one of the things I like more to do with my friends.
• Other things I like to do with my friends are: play multiple games – hide and seek for one – and most of all have fun our way!
